The primary focus of a Sales Consultant (Pre-sales) is to become an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers and internally to our sales force
As a Staff Internet Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical/functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction, through on-line/in person sales efforts. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations via the internet and/or in person. Present and articulate Oracle product*s strengths, features, benefits, and competitive advantages. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Support sales team in online/in-person selling efforts with some supervision. Develop and deliver proposed solution to customers. Approximate percentage of face to face interaction with customers to perform their responsibilities is 10%
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures.3 - 5 years business experience preferred; vendor experience also preferred. 3 years relevant computer applications or database/tools preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Knowledge of system and application design preferred. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred.

As a presales staff sales consultant, you will work as a member of a sales team to solve business and technical problems for prospective clients and customers. You will uncover and understand customer goals and challenges and establish Oracle s Technology, Cloud & Hardware products as the best solution available. You ll develop and deliver high quality customized presentations and demonstrations, present and articulate product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions that highlight customer value, as well as develop and manage reference sites through professional client relationships.

*As a Staff Sales Consultant you will be responsible for: *Providing presales technical/functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Delivering high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Presenting and articulating Oracle product s strengths, relative to competitors. Participating in the design, validation, and presentation of Oracle software solutions.
- Actively maintain an in-depth product knowledge in Technology Solutions, including:
o competitive offerings
o all solutions enabled by Oracle s Technology, Middleware, Data Management, Intelligence, Cloud and hardware products
o portfolio of case studies of implementations
o links to development teams
o information on future product development
Ensure the Presales team and specified groups have up-to-date and relevant product knowledge in technology product areas
Maintain awareness of all relevant competitive products
Understand the needs and pains of the customer and then to link them to a set of products/solutions provided by Oracle
Demonstrate leadership abilities and superior presentation skills in a multi-cultural environment.
Respond to tenders, RFI s, RFP s, proposals with respect to product/solution information
Contribute to the generation and maintenance of relevant product area specific Value Propositions
Create and maintain relationships with key product stakeholders like Product Marketing, Development, Strategy, Partners, etc.
Contribute to the achievement of a product/business unit target
Be enthusiastic and confident
3-4 years experience in related field
A strong technical knowledge including but not limited to: HTML, Java, Service Oriented Architectures, Relational Database Technology, HTML, Object Oriented (OO) programming skills/understanding and Master Data Management, scripting language
Undergraduate in Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree. MBA, MS Information Systems/Technology, or equivalent is preferred
Ability to discuss key industry issues at multiple levels (C-Level to Functional Managers)
Skilled in presenting and demonstrating
