Sr Vehicle Engineer – Colorado Springs

Overview:

Demonstrates in in-depth understanding of geosynchronous spacecraft systems and space vehicle operations. Monitors vehicle state of health across all subsystems. Performs short and long-term telemetry trending. Tracks space vehicle configuration, to include both hardware, software, and configurable item parameters. Has the ability to lead anomaly resolution efforts. Makes modifications to existing operations procedures to incorporate lessons learned from in-flight performance. Develops new procedures as required. Mentors newer members of the flight operations team. Verifies spacecraft commands before they are sent to the vehicle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires BS & 4 years or Masters Degree & 2 years or equivalent combination of education & experience.

  • Requires a current TS/SCI clearance

  • Requires the ability to work nights and weekends in support of real-time satellite operations

  • Experience with real-time satellite operations is required

  • Experience with Linux desired, but not required
