The mission of the RapidReaction Branch is to rapidly prototype, develop, test, train,operate, transition and sustain space superiority and cyber accesscapability in support of combatant commander urgent operational needs. Thisposition plays a critical role in fulfillment of that mission with a focus ontesting these systems.The selected candidate will demonstrate clear written and oral communicationsskills successfully applied to technical communications.This position can be filled as a Level 2: Satellite Communications TestEngineer or as a Level 3: Sr. Satellite Communications Test Engineer.Key FunctionsEffectively interact with team members from government, contractors andother FFRDCsDevelop software for the testing of quick reaction capabilities (QRC)Execute tests of QRCsContribute to the development of QRCsContribute to a high intensity multi-disciplinary customer environment as ateam member developing and testing prototypes for satellite communications(SATCOM) and signal processing technologiesDevelop software tools to enable and facilitate testing of the prototypetechnologiesAdaptability to work with rapidly moving baselinesThis position requires less than 20% travel.
