Matrix Design group, Inc., an employee-owned planning, engineering,and environmental consulting firm is actively searching for a Project Engineerin our Colorado Springs office.Summary:Responsible for providing engineering support by completing parts ofengineering projects or the entirety of less complex projects that include theentitlement and design of land development projects. Discipline involvesplanning, designing and building a wide variety of infrastructureimprovements. This includes waterlines, storm sewer conveyance and treatmentfacilities, sanitary sewer conveyance system and grading.Essential Functions: Design civil engineering projects for residential, commercial andmunicipal development. Prepare and process construction plans for approval within multiplejurisdictions. Prepare detailed grading, roadway, water, and sewer plans usingAutoCAD Civil 3D. Complete hydrology and hydraulic analysis, drainage reports, andstorm drain design including detention and water quality facilities. Prepare supporting calculations, construction specs, and permittingin various jurisdictions. Work within defined scope, schedule and budget parameters. Communicate as appropriate to director of development services andproject team concerning questions, concerns, progress and results. Coordinate with other disciplines and locations as necessary, bothinternal and external to Matrix. Assist with proposals and client management as necessary. Perform business development activities through maintenance of positiveclient relationships.Competencies: Competency in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2020 a plus Ability to take direction and work independently as well as effectivelycollaborate with teams Verbal, written, and presentation skills Strong technical writing skills Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteEducation and Experience: Undergraduate or graduate degree from accredited program in civilengineering Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate preferred Experience writing drainage reports and performing utility design inCivil 3D a plus Valid driver's license, in conjunction with successfully passing theCompany's MVROther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain acomprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that arerequired of the employee for this job.
