Apex Systems is looking for a Project Engineer to join our team as a directhire employee in Colorado Springs. In this role you will support a multitudeof projects within the aerospace and aviation industries through both thedesign and planning of the projects. You will do some of the development workyourself while also managing customer expectations and the progress of theprojects.This position will require you to physically sit in Colorado Springs to reportto work onsite.Security Clearance Requirement:Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required.Must be a U.S. Citizen.If you currently hold a clearance, any level of clearance will be upheld bythe company.Required Experience:Strong understanding and experience with engineering fundamentals, bestpractices, development and design toolsExperienced with Software Defined Networks, Open Space, or similar software.Experienced and knowledgeable with DoD, satellite, and telecommunicationtype programsAbility to interact effectively with program leadership, engineeringleadership, customers and engineering team membersEngineering experience in one of the following areas, FW, DSP, SW, HWExperience with Agile, SCRUM, and/or Water-fall approachesBasic project management and engineering skills including resource estimatesfor engineering effort requirements (hours) and timing (schedule)Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing tasks and resources formultiple projectsWorking knowledge with MS Office products, including MS Project for scheduledevelopment and reviewEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
