Materials Technician
We are seeking a Materials Technician to join our Energy Materials Management team! In this job, your work will be performed at one of our seven (7) warehouses where you will execute a variety of standard warehousing procedures in support of the warehouse and materials areas and provide needed materials to different locations, groups and/or individuals.
Key Focus Areas:
Issue parts and tools to personnel
Ship and receive parts, tools and materials
Perform inventory cycle counts
Process paperwork for receiving/issuing stock items
Maintain adequate supply levels of parts and materials
Perform inspections on shipments received
Organize and reorganize warehouse layouts
Deliver equipment, materials and supplies to various buildings and work sites
May reconcile P-Card transactions
May provide tactical procurement through creation of blanket releases for both stock and non-stock materials and services
May support Procurement Associate, or assigned staff to resolve receipt and payment issues
May create purchase requests in Maximo
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Operating a forklift; Forklift certification is required
Warehousing procedures and Previous warehouse experience is preferred
Inventory control and material management techniques
Computer hardware and software applications
Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, manager, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
Consistently following all applicable safety procedures
- It must be understood, that with this role, your job duties may be performed at ANY of the 7 utilities warehouses; location determination will be based on business necessity/operational needs._**
- Work hours are 7:00a.m. to 3:30p.m. and stand-by work is required by each employee, on a rotational basis, every 2-3 months._**
- Selected candidate must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license, as you will be traveling to multiple sites to perform your duties._**
