Description
Microchip’s fast-growing semiconductor business is looking for an experienced Reliability Manager to bring new products to market. Based in our Colorado Springs location, you would be part of Reliability Engineering team tasked with supporting the development of new ASIC and Secure Products Businesses products. In addition, you will participate in shaping and influencing our overall Reliability strategies and techniques. This position is a manager position.
Our Colorado Springs team is tasked with supporting new technology, product and package development and process transfers with Engineering Evaluation, Qualification and Reliability Plans/Reports. Additionally, your team will support an aggressive
Reliability Monitor Program for Processes, Product and Packages.
Management responsibilities include the support of experienced Sr, Reliability Engineers and Sr. Reliability Lab Technicians with prioritization, consultation and mentoring as well as participation in shaping Corporate Reliability systems, strategies and techniques.
Support Fab, Product and Assembly teams to evaluate and characterize failures and/or excursions/spills with mission/use profile driven failure rate, equivalent life, DPPM estimates.
Member of technical teams (i.e. Technology Development, Process Test, Product, Package, Quality, FA and Design engineers) supporting the development of new products and packages with qualification and reliability test plans.
Work with vendors to develop DUT & driver board solutions as needed.
Provide verbal and written reports/presentations to Management and customers.
Effectively lead, in a team environment, contributing to the team's success.

Salary Range
- $89,996 – 182,962
Requirements
Education & Experience Requirements:
Minimum BS or MS degree in Electrical/Physics or related engineering field with minimum of 10 years industry experience.
The successful candidate will be conversant with industry qualification and test standards (JEDEC, IEC, AEC, SAE and Military), Reliability Models/Modeling and statistical techniques.
Good fundamentals of transistor level integrated circuits and device physics.
Pluses:
Experience with IC packages & assembly.
Experience in Qualification/Reliability Lab support.
Experience with statistical methods and tools (ex: JMP or mathcad).
Experience in hardware design and ability to read board schematics and drawings
Ability to review and understand biasing software programs.
Additional Requirements & Qualifications:
Strong lab skills with assorted test/measurement equipment
Experience with DLT/HTOL burn-in oven a plus
Self-motivated and take ownership for solutions
Must adhere to Microchips guiding values
Limited travel: 10% or less
