Description: The selected candidate will possess strong leadership, project management and task execution skills. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess negotiation skills and will include cost and schedule management responsibilities for multiple projects. It is also expected that this position will engage in and be fully cognizant of the team’s products and services which are being produced and delivered to the customer. In addition, this role will be expected to have responsibilities on the HW team supporting the Infrastructure Lead in task execution. This position may have personnel matrixed to support the technical scope of task execution. This position will be assigned functional responsibility for approximately 5-15 personnel and will perform the associated duties for leadership and management of assigned personnel. There will be responsibilities to ensure assigned functional personnel accomplish all company required duties in a timely fashion and flow information between his/her staff and his/her management.

This position will play an essential role on the SBIRS Ground Segment Hardware Engineering Team and will be expected to engage in the management and development of personnel to include performing candid employee reviews/evaluations. In addition, this position will be responsible for employee selection/recruitment, training, mentoring, time charging review/approval, salary planning, promotion planning, recognition activities and in general, maintaining a rewarding and productive work environment for this team. Further, the position includes technical leadership and execution of assigned projects. The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet minimum requirements for access to classified information. The candidate must possess a current/active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI access.
