Aerotek FPGA Design Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Are you interested in working in the Aerospace industry with a small and growing company? An emerging leader in the satellite industry is seeking an experienced Hardware/Firmware Design Engineer. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO, with flexibility to work partially from home!
Responsibilities may include:
Designing and developing real-time, multitasking, embedded applications in C, C++.
Designing, editing, and optimizing circuitry (component selection, simulation, board layout, schematic capture).
Writing and editing client software to verify embedded software and support technology development.
Testing and debugging electronic circuitry.
Supporting field test.
Preparing qualification and certification testing plans and documentation.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
5-10 years of work-related experience
Proficiency in TCP/IP network coding in C and VHDL
RTL design for synthesis
FPGA timing closure techniques
C Code for embedded ARM processors
FPGA hardware design , including FPGA power (budgeting and sequencing)
High-speed digital design techniques:
PCI-Express and highspeed Ethernet
1Gb, 10Gb, and 100Gb Ethernet as well as XAUI
ECL, CML and LVDS interfaces
Must be well versed in using:
IDEs like Xilinx Vivado / Vitis or Altera, Quartus and Qsys
OrCAD schematic capture
Preferred Qualifications
· Demonstrated experience with circuit design and
analysis
· Demonstrated experience with embedded firmware
design and testbed development
· Hands on experience testing and debugging
circuitry
· Analog design experience a plus
· DSP knowledge a plus
· FreeRTOS
· Experience with version control systems like SVN (subversion)
