Intecon Electronics Technician in Colorado Springs, Colorado

INTECON is seeking a Electronics Technician (Telecommunications Mechanic, Senior) to join our team in support the U.S. Air Force North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITWAA) Sustained Support Contract (NISSC). NISSC will provide accurate, timely, and unambiguous warning and attack assessments of Air, Missile, and Space threats with daily visibility National Command Authority leaders including the President of the United States.. This role requires full-time attendance at the Cheyenne Mountain Complex.

As an Electronics Technician at CMAFS your duties include:

  • Review and analyze system, trunk, circuit, and equipment performance

  • Coordinate and assist in troubleshooting, isolating, repairing, and correcting network systems and circuit errors

  • Create and update outage tickets and shift logs


Required Certifications:

  • Current Security + certification

Required Clearance:

  • Must have and maintain a Top Secret with SCI Eligible Clearance.

Required Education:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED & 5 yrs experience as computer operator

Required Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of electronics and network principles

  • Basic knowledge of handling COMSEC materials

  • Ability to work in a high ops tempo environment

  • Must be willing to work flexible shifts and days as required

  • Must be willing to work weekends/holidays on the assigned days/mids shift rotations

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with DISA processes and procedures

  • Experience with using specialized test equipment

  • Have demonstrated experience and capability with interfacing with the Air Force customer at very high levels as well as interfacing with multiple DoD agencies
