JOB TITLE: Electronic Services Maintenance Technician IIWAGE CLASSIFICATION: Electronics Technician Maintenance IIJOB SUMMARY: Provides communication-electronics equipment/systemsoperation/maintenance/repair/installation support to the United StatesAir Force Academy (USAFA).PRIMARY DUTIES: Reports to the Electronic Services Lead. Works independently or with a team. Provides digital and analog electronic services support to include butnot limited to closed circuit television, broadcast studio, cabletelevision, land mobile radio, satellite reception, access control,public address audio, security, and classroom projection equipment andsystems. Installs communications-electronic equipment and systems. Provides on-call support as required. Troubleshoots, repairs, installs, tests, and removes/replacescommunications-electronic equipment and systems. Assists with the development of technical recommendations formodification or replacement of communications-electronic equipment andsystems. Maintains technological standards, investigates, and promotes newtechnologies for use by USAFA. Obtains technical guidance as required from supervisor and/orhigher-level technician. Observes and adheres to Occupational Safety andHealth Administration (OSHA) and USAFA safety rules and regulations. Fulfills other work center duties as assigned.The above-mentioned duties require standing for long periods of time, theability to climb ladders, and the ability to lift overhead 40lbs items.SECONDARY DUTIES: Provides support to other contract work centers in casesof labor shortages or unexpected requirements.ADDITIONAL DUTIES: As assigned by the Electronic Services Lead and/orProgram Director.EXPERIENCE: Four years or more of specialized experience incommunication-electronics equipment/systemoperation/maintenance/repair/installation.EDUCATION: An associate's degree in electronic systems technology.Equivalent experience can be used as a substitution for this degree.REQUIREMENTS: A SECRET security clearance is required.
