BAE Systems Data Scientist TS/SCI with Polygraph Required in Colorado Springs, Colorado
BAE Systems is looking for a motivated Data Scientist for a newly awarded contract for the Bolling customer with a 5 year performance period. Candidate will be able to work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions. Mines and analyzes data from databases to drive optimization and improvement of the customer missions and business strategies. Assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques. Develops custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. Uses predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, efficiencies, process improvements, and other business outcomes. Develops organizational A/B testing framework and tests model quality. Coordinates with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes. Develops processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
Salary Range: $105,300 to $179,000

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Data Scientist are responsible to analyze Enterprise Infrastructure data. The ideal candidate is skilled at using large data sets to find opportunities for process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.
The requisite languages for Data Science are Python, R, and/or Scala to name a few. One can also use low level language such as C but most Data Science work is done using high level language. However, given the customers heavy use of Splunk, familiarity with Splunk s ITSI analytic platform will likely be key. Training will be provided for ITSI since it is low density skill.
