General Job DescriptionReporting to the Finishing Supervisor, the Plating Associtate will processincoming plating and anodizing jobs, maintain chemistry processing levels,assist with neutralization and disposal, process work orders in timely andorderly manner to ensure on time completion. Familiarity of Mil-spec and/orNadcap processes helpful but not required.Essential Duties*Verify incoming material quantities and quality.*Use Anoplex software to process jobs.*Work independently with minimal supervision.*Use ChemTrak software for checking chemistry of tanks in process.*Properly use varying inventory of chemicals.*Adhere to safe operating practices and maintain highly detailed records.*Must be able to be licensed in forklift operations.*Must be safety conscious and able to work in tight quarters.*Manage waste chemistry streams to adhere to zero discharge policy.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a metal plating environment. Duties are performed in thepresence of chemicals in both packaged and production states. Environment canbe subject to heat, humidity, and production noise Exposure to hot, coldand ambient temperatures routine. Candidate must be accustomed to standing,kneeling, and walking on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time.Must be able to perform complex chemical calculations and be mindful of timeexposure processes for different chemicals. Ability to safely operate aforklift required. Computer skills for process specific software applicationsare necessary.
