Apex Life Sciences is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our leadingAerospace client in Centennial, CO.This position is responsible for the development and consistent application ofsystems engineering tools and processes to our client projects/programs.Theposition also has a key role in ensuring continuous improvement of these sametools and processes.This is a year long contract role with the possibility of conversion orextension.Competencies:This position requires knowledge or Systems Engineering and Integrationprocesses and tools.Experience performing requirements development, integration, andverification management is required.Knowledge of existing and evolving launch system requirements desired.Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to resolve technical andprogrammatic issues is required.This position requires excellent written and oral communication proficiency inconjunction with organization skills necessary to maintain focus and achieveconsensus within diverse multi-disciplined teams.Internal and external customer interface activities will require strongcommunication skills.The candidate should have demonstrated technical knowledge in areas that drivelaunch vehicle design such as aerospace structural analysis and design,propulsion analysis and design, electrical analysis and design, softwaredevelopment , and system analysis.The successful candidate will be a self starter able to work autonomously,learn, tailor and execute processes, and perform in a collaborativeenvironment .Basic Qualifications:Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering or applied mathematics10-15 years of engineering and systems engineering experience.Experience working with existing and evolving launch systems requirements.Experience leading cross-functional learns in the performance of requirementsanalysis, development , integration, and verification : trade studymanagement and risk management.Organization skills necessary 10 maintain focus and achieve consensus withindiverse multi-disciplined learnsExperience developing/implementing, and tailoring systems engineeringprocessesExperience with Word, Excel, and Power Point to include the integration ofclu1rls for large presentations to the customerAbility to travel (10%)Preferred Qualifications:Experience and background with previous large-scale launch vehicle programs,including the Alias and Della families.Experience and background with significant launch system and componentdevelopment and upgrades.Experience with developing human rating strategies and requirements, andknowledge of potential upgrades to enable human-rated launch systemsEEO EmployerApex is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
