Lockheed Martin Reentry Project Engineering Manager in Centennial, Colorado
Description: The selected individual will lead the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Mk4A Shape Stable Nose Tip (SSNT) Production program.
The objective of the program is to replace the nosetip of the Mk4A with a SSNT. Fleet deployed Mk4A reentry body will be received, disassembled and replaced with a Mk4A SSNT nose assembly.
The selected individual will report to the Reentry Development Programs Sr Manager. Management responsibilities will include personnel oversight; budget planning in coordination with Program CAM, tracking and reporting; helping define work scope expectations and resource loading. Technical responsibilities will include developing and managing a RISK database to achieving the goals of verification/validation of requirements and achieving production schedules. The individual will coordinate across multiple internal (Reentry, Missile and FBM), Navy SSP, NNSA and associate contractor boundaries to help customer achieve the objectives. The individual will ensure consistent and compliant application of Program Management Processes, Tools and Training, driving program execution across a geographical diverse organization that meets customer expectations.
Lead programmatic trade studies, establish program priorities, and adjudicate team conflicts
Coordinates the preparation of proposals, program plans, work statements and participates in negotiation of contract changes.
Desired Skills: • It is desired that the candidate has knowledge of & experience with Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Reentry Systems or Ballistic Missile and/or hypersonic vehicles
• It is desired that the candidate be CAM trained
• The candidate must have minimum of 10 years total experience, including 2 years demonstrated experience managing projects/programs to meet customer requirements while meeting program objectives and schedule (value $10M+)
• The candidate must be familiar with the Navy SSP Reentry customer and associated contractors (Navy and co-contractors NNSA, SNL, and LANL)
