SUMMARY:Project Engineers report to Program Managers and work in concert with theprogram System Engineer, engineering team, operations team,sub-contracts/contracts team, and all other program elements in executionof a program. Acts as the central communication point for all internal (andexternal at PM direction) personnel to ensure that the proper communicationchannels are established and all personnel have the information they need toexecute the program. Functions as the primary interface between the programtechnical team, procurement, and operations.Job DescriptionPMAP PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Understand, plan, and execute communication activities in accordance withSNC policies, procedures, and work instructionsInterface with Customers to generate Statements of Work, Concept ofOperations documents, and/or systems specifications, and oversee thegeneration of internal specifications, control documents, verification andvalidation plans, procedures, reports, or other documentation in supportof Customer requirementsWith internal support from affected functional organizations, providesestimates of labor hours and material dollars required to accomplish design,development, and production activities. Negotiate cost/schedule/qualityrequirements with Customer consistent with scope of workInterface with all program personal to ensure necessary lines of communicationare open and information is flowing as requiredInterface directly with procurement to ensure parts/assemblies are purchasedand available to support the master build plan as defined in the OperationsProgram Plan (OPP)Acts as the interface between engineering and procurement in theidentification of long lead parts and part changes required due to lead timesInterfaces directly with schedulers to ensure any program impact due to partsavailability is understood and incorporated into project plansTMAP PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:Plan and execute engineering design, development, and productionactivities consistent with Customer quality, cost and schedule requirementsThis includes generation of Engineering Program Plans (EPPs) in accordancewith the Technical Management and Planning (TMAP) process, part ofSNC's Integrated Product Development Process (IPDP)Communication point for all program team membersSchedule and conduct Gate 5-11 reviews in accordance with the approved EPPTracks drawing release schedule to ensure it meets Integrated Master Scheduledeadlines in support of procurement need datesEnsure technical CDRLs are prepared and submitted in accordance with thecontract requirementsOMAP PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:Communication point for all program team membersWork with planning and procurement to track vendor delivery dates to ensurethey meets Integrated Master Schedule deadlines in support of the approved OPPADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hoursOther duties as assignedCOMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, andCompliance regulations (internal and external)ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Minimum physical requirements to perform all duties and responsibilities, asdefined by managementSNC job descriptions are meant as summarizations only.
