IAS tailors solutionsto customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs toconsistently exceed expectations and provide a turnkey approach to enable ourcustomers to focus on their mission.Must-haves:Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or relatedEngineering discipline and a minimum of 3 or more years of relevant experienceAircraft integration/modification experiencePractical Knowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience with Computer Aided Engineering toolsFamiliarity working in multidisciplinary design and development teamsAn active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is requiredPreferred:Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing(GD.and.T) per ASME Y14.5Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element StructuralAnalysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermal AnalysisBackground in the Aviation and/or Defense IndustryLiaison engineering experience is a plusFamiliarity with FAA and military certification requirementsReverse engineering of aircraft structuresSolidworks experience is a plusKnowledge of industrystandard mechanical design principles, to include,but not limited to parametric design, modelbased definition, materialhardware selection, manufacturing, and production processesIMPORTANT NOTICE:This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
