Job Title:Lead Satellite Payload Systems Engineer
Location:Centennial, COSalary Range: $110K-$150K

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system specifications for satellite payloads, as well as hardware, software, and interface requirements.
Develop systems test and validation plans to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration andcompliance with requirements.
Develop statement-of-work and technical performance specifications.
Translate system architecture into hardware, software, and interface requirements.
Show requirements traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
Resolve product integration issues and production anomalies.
Support fielded hardware and software overthe entire product lifecycle.
Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet customer projected requirements.
Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
Understand and apply industry best practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.), from a technical college or university inElectrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering is required
Must have five (5) years’ experience or more working as a System Engineer on satellite programs.
Applicants must have strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills and be able to work in a team environment (domestic and international) - previous design team or special projectteam participation is desired.
Ability to conceive, develop, optimize, maintain and modify electronic/electrical system designs based on satellite program requirements.
Ability to provide technical coordination with internal and external suppliers and customers.
Knowledge of data and power system designs and architectures for satellite systems.
This position will also be responsible for working with our international counterparts in Europe.
Must have experience with U.S. government contracts and programs.
Travel is required for this position, less than 25%.
Master’s Degree is desired
Knowledge of satellite design concepts and techniques (e.g., concurrent engineering, Model-based Engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly [DFM/A]) is preferred.
Ten years or more experience in working with data and power system designs and architectures preferred.
Ten years or more experience in working with satellite payload programs
