Assembly Technician I (Centennial, CO)


Perform any combination of following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems: Follows sample assemblies, receive verbal instructions, and follow wiring diagrams. Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in enclosure. Crimp connectors, screws, bolts, to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. Mounts assembled components to enclosure sub panels. Connect component lead wires to wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, or terminals using hand tools. Install finished assemblies or subassemblies into enclosures. Assists with the various duties involved with warehouse operations.


  • High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

  • Assembly or manufacturing experience desired, but we will train the right person who is good with their hands.

  • Experience with blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and point to point drawings a plus, but we will train the right person.

  • Must be familiar with hand and power tools.

  • Must enjoy teamwork, learning, variety, and working with your hands.

  • Able to speak, write, and read the English language.

  • Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 60 pounds.

  • Must be able to perform repetitive work without getting bored or making mistakes.

  • Good eye-hand coordination is required.

  • Hand dexterity is important, as small parts may need to be assembled.

  • Color recognition is required to properly connect wire leads.

  • Pass standard pre-employment checks, including but not limited to a background check regarding criminal history, education, employment, and a drug test.


  • Prepare inventory and orders for shipping following all safety, legal, and handling procedures of goods.

  • Keep accurate records of all goods shipped and received. Input inventory records into computer to maintain organized data base and records archive.

  • Efficiently follow orders from the Purchasing Manager. Able to meet daily production targets.

  • Inspect received goods, making note of any damages and discrepancies, and immediately report the same.

  • Maintain the proper labeling, tagging, storage, and packaging of materials.

  • Safely operate a variety of hand tools and machinery in the assembly of products.

  • Maintain professional behavior and proper communication with internal and external contacts, including company employees, managers, and outside vendors.

  • Count, sort and replenish warehouse supplies as needed.

  • Must understand the details of assembly drawings and materials usage.

  • Comply with all safety work procedures.

  • May be designated as a driver or assigned a job with driving responsibilities.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Effectively manage time and follow directions.

  • Successfully complete requested training classes and maintain all necessary safety certificates.

  • Assist with inventory counts.

  • Keep work area clean, organized, and hazard free.

  • Operate forklift.

  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • General knowledge of office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, computers, etc.

  • Demonstrated clerical skills.

  • Work in a team environment.


  • Candidate will be working in a shop environment and must follow all safety, housekeeping, and organizational policies.

  • Able to sit and work at computer keyboard for extended period.

  • Able to stand for long periods and endure a lot of physical stamina.

  • Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 60 pounds.

  • Able to perform general office administrative activities of copying, filing, faxing, and using the telephone.

  • Able to climb stairs, work at heights.

  • Maintain regular and on-time attendance. Position is 30 – 40 hours per week but may exceed 40 hours per week.
