Job DescriptionSince 1912, Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. has provided comprehensiveelectrical construction services to clients throughout the western U.S.TheSafety Manager will work within Sturgeon Electric's transmission anddistribution (TandD) construction division which provides a full-range ofcapabilities related to transmission, distribution and substationconstruction.SummaryThis Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring employee adherence to companysafety policies and procedures.Essential FunctionsManage on-going safety program including building a vibrant on site safetyculture which includes daily Bend and Stretch and collaboration with the craftempowering them to own the safety program for their projectVerify fieldwork compliance with federal, state and local regulations,company policy, and industry best practicesAudit, mentor and provide meaningful feedback, leadership, and guidanceto safety engineersCoordinate cross-training and conduct training as necessaryEmbrace the utilization of continuous improvement practices to improve safetypractices and proceduresConduct and report on advance notice and no-notice inspections, surveys,and evaluationsReceive, review, and participate with the development of accidentbriefs, safety-related publications, bulletins, and reportsProvide progress reports on safety activities, safety reports, and safetystudiesUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethicsand other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, ifapplicableThe essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Companydesignated office or field location.
