City Of Burlington Apprentice Lineman/Lineman in Burlington, Colorado

POSITION: Apprentice Lineman/LinemanREQUIREMENTS: Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalentwith formal coursework in the electrical field. Enrollment in a US-DOLapproved Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship Program is desired and the abilityto complete all Apprentice coursework within three years of employment, withone (1) year groundmen level experience preferred. Applicant must possessor be able to obtain a Colorado Driver License within 30 days of employment.All offers of employment are contingent upon a satisfactory score onapplicable job-related examinations, passing a pre-employment drug screen,criminal and driving background check, and employment reference checks.PREFERRED SKILLS: Enrollment in a US-DOL approved Journeyman LinemanApprenticeship Program is desired and the ability to complete all Apprenticecoursework within three years of employment, with one (1) year groundmenlevel experience preferred.WAGE: Starting salary for this position is $38,391 - $62,564annually, based on qualifications.BENEFITS: Generous benefit package that includes medical insurance, paidvacation, sick and holidays, and retirement plan.DAYS AND HOURS: Monday- Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00pm with on-call andafter hours work possible.DUTIES: The Electric Lineman performs technical tasks related to theconstruction, operation, maintenance, repair, and security of theCity s electrical energy and distribution systems and sub-transmissionfacilities.
