About 70 percent of all PC-12s which come off the production line inStans are finished to customer specifications (interior and exteriorlivery) in Colorado. Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd is also responsible forPC-12 and PC-24 marketing, sales and customer support activities in Northand South America.POSITION TITLE: Electrical / Avionics EngineerDEPARTMENT: EngineeringGENERAL PURPOSE: Support the Engineering department and work together withsystems engineers on the creation of electrical and avionics modificationspackages from concept to implementation. Provide technical assistance, serveas liaison, and support the Production department with wiring diagrams,drawings, system check outs as well as troubleshooting and technical advicefor the installation of avionics modifications.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Create and issue design data, drawings, and associated data modules for avionics modifications in accordance with Pilatus specifications with emphasis on the following document types: o Aircraft electrical schematics and bill of materials o Aircraft wire harness and cable assembly drawings o Aircraft wire harness and cable assembly routing diagrams o Aircraft electrical load analysis documentation Work with systems and project engineers to design, develop, and implement avionics modification packages through completion of the Supplemental Type Certificate process Create test documents and reports supporting avionics modification packages Create and maintain aircraft engineering configuration records Create and maintain electrical / avionics parts catalog and library Work closely with all Production departments to ensure drawings and associated design documents convey the correct information, are error free, and in compliance with established company and industry standard practices Originate specifications, control documents, verification and validation plans, procedures, reports, or other documentation in support of design and development activitiesOTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare material for, and conduct, periodic design reviews Provide periodic project updates on all assigned projects Perform additional related duties as assigned by Engineering ManagerSKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and 2-3 years of relevant experience Experience with Cadence OrCAD or comparable eCAD suite required Experience with PDM/PLM applications (Siemens Teamcenter or similar) desired Strong computer skills including MS Office applications Practical experience with aircraft avionics test equipment is beneficial but not required Strong written and verbal communication skills High standards of accuracy and quality Self-disciplined, capable of handling multiple, simultaneous projects and tasks Must qualify as a U.S. person in compliance with ITAR 22 CFR 120.15BENEFITS:Pilatus offers an excellent compensation package, including medical,dental, and vision coverage, health savings account contributions, lifeand long-term disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with generouscompany match, tuition assistance, and more!Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative ActionEmployer.
