CPAESS employees and sponsors collectively work toward advancingscientific research for the benefit of society.What You Will Do:The Climate Program Office (CPO) manages competitive research programs inwhich NOAA funds high-priority climate science, assessments, decisionsupport research, outreach, education, and capacity-building activitiesdesigned to advance our understanding of Earth's climate system, and tofoster the application of this knowledge in risk management and adaptationefforts. CPO-supported research is conducted in regions across the UnitedStates, at national and international scales, and globally. The EarthSystem Science and Modeling (ESSM) Division in CPO supports a unique andhighly flexible climate research enterprise to advance scientificunderstanding of climate variability and change, to improve NOAA's climateand Earth System models, predictions/projections and applications in theclimate area. The ESSM Division includes four competitive research programs,including Atmospheric Chemistry, Carbon Cycle and Climate (AC4) andClimate Observations and Monitoring (COM) programs, and also overseesNOAA ClimThis position will be a full member of the ESSM Division, and willspecifically focus on the AC4 and COM programs. The individual will assist AC4and COM program managers in daily tasks, and contribute to broader ESSMDivision activities. This position will engage with partners across all ofNOAA's Line Offices, other agencies and the diverse set of ESSM Divisioninvestigators and stakeholders.Responsibilities:Work with AC4 and COM staff to organize and facilitate proposal review (mailreview and panel review) and monitor projects progress (e.g., collectand archive project reports).Prepares, develops and maintains the necessary research project fundingdocumentation.Participate in and provide input to atmospheric composition related meetingsand activities within OAR and across Line Offices, especially with NESDISand NWS - this includes writing reports, preparing presentations, meetingo
