Gastrointestinal Operating Unit
The Gastrointestinal Operating Unit is focused on improving patient outcomes and setting new standards of care in GI and Hepatology.

A Day in the Life
Work and lead within a cross-functional team to design, develop, test, and document innovative ablation solutions involving software, hardware and disposable components
Focus on product development from design through product sustaining
Serve as the technical lead for a cross-functional group of engineers and technicians on projects
Participate in the collection, processing, and analysis of user needs by interfacing with external clinicians, physicians and thought leaders
Lead the translation and development of system requirements and system architecture. This includes managing multiple levels of product requirements and leading interface design
Lead the engineering analysis to optimize and select system-level concepts to ensure the final solution fulfills needs, requirements, use cases, environments, and the overall system vision
Lead the team in identifying and mitigating technical risks, product hazards, and failure modes
Provide technical leadership along with technical subject matter expertise to product development teams
Collaborate with the Systems Test Lead to develop and review verification strategies, test designs, test tools, planned execution and documentation
Initiate and evaluate design changes to improve and optimize product performance
Must Haves
Requires a Bachelors Degree and 7+ years of Engineering experience OR advanced degree and 5+ years of Engineering experience
Nice to Have
Expertise in the medical device industry
Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards
Expertise in Systems Engineering as related to stakeholder needs definition, creation of use case workflows, requirements definition and decomposition, functional architecture, and system design
Experience with mechanical and/or electrical design, mechanical/electrical drawings, tolerance analysis, and computer-aided design (CAD)
Project management skills including leading a technical team as well as planning and estimation of tasks, milestones, resources, and budget
Strong leadership skills and mentoring capabilities
Strong quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral/presentation and written)
