They have a team of over 3,000 scientists,engineers, support staff and technicians with diverse backgrounds andperspectives that help to contribute to achieve a common mission of keepingour nation safe and helping spawn a market-driven demand for imagery to takeon new challenges from space and Earth science.They produce various innovative aerospace technologies and products includinginstruments/sensors, RF and microwave technologies, data analyticssolutions and spacecraft.Electrical Project EngineerLead a team of Electrical Systems, Mechanical Packaging, ElectricalCircuit Design, Parts & Reliability, Radiation, and ProductionEngineers in the design, fabrication, test, and integration of groundand space based electronics subsystems.Responsibilities:Lead cross functional teams within an engineering environment.Responsible for system cost, schedule, technical, and personnel management.Provide and communicate understanding of both the technical and programmaticaspects of a project to the project team as well as the customer.Manage minor subcontracts and support new business proposal opportunities.Work on projects that include high reliability electronics for NASA, DoD,and Commercial Space applications.Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.Establish and maintain effective working relationships within thedepartment, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and theCompany. Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive andproductive work environment.Perform other duties as necessary.Candidates must possess the following credentials and experience:BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is requiredplus 8 or more years related experience.Willing and able to obtain a security clearance as required.Demonstrated successful management of electronics development effortsincluding meeting cost, schedule, and performance goals.Experience leading cross functional teams.Ability to establish effective working relationships across the enterprise.Hands on experience in space flight electronics design, fabrication, and test.Experience managing all aspects of electrical engineering projects from startto finish.Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written communication skills, oralpresentation skills, conflict management and an ability to lead groupdiscussioCost and schedule management with earned value reporting along withresource, risk and subcontract management.Experience with "flight space qualified" electronic programs andradiation-hardened environments to include knowledge of EEE parts for spaceflight applications and associated screening and qualification processes.In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, ademonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions andresponsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies ofthe grade level should be considered. Each higher-level degree, i.e.,Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience.Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degreemust be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by anagency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of EducationSecurity Clearance Requirement:All qualified candidates must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance.
