RMIis seeking Associates or SeniorAssociates forour Climate Intelligent Solutions for Oil and Gas division.Position Overview:RMI is looking to hire an Associate/Sr Associate within theClimateIntelligentprogram,with a focus on reducing methaneand greenhousegasemissions from the Natural Gas Supply Chain.Previous oil and gas industryexperience orenvironmental compliance experience is highly regarded, as wellas understanding ofthescience of methane emissions from the natural gaslifecycle.You will work with the Climate Intelligence Sr Leadership team toassist with analytics of operational and methane emissions, developingprotocols for reducing emissions, and working to pilot protocols withNatural Gas upstream,midstreamand downstream operators.We invite candidates witha variety of skillsets, educational and workbackgrounds. We will carefully review each application to determine theappropriate starting position level (Associate or Senior Associate), andthis will be communicated during the interview process. Ideal start date isMarch 2021.Core Responsibilities:Develop analytics and insights into the sources of methane emissionsAssist in developing operationaland MRV (Measurement, Reporting andVerification)protocols for reducing GHG emissions throughout thenatural gas life cycleManage stakeholder relations withnatural gas producers, midstreamoperators,consumers, regulators, and technical experts.Offer technical assistance on emissions monitoringcapabilities,greenhouse gas inventory calculations, and process engineering.Assist the team to stimulate demand for certified low-emission naturalgasbyusingvalue propositions and tailored offerings to large natural gasbuyers (electric and gas utilities, heavy manufacturers, etc.)Project manage consultants (scope, budgets, deliverables)Synthesize recommendations into clear and compelling presentations andwritten reportsPresent quantitative information in a clear, visual formatMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required (in an applicable field such asengineering,environmental orphysical sciences). in arelated field is a plus.A minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience inOil and Gas,inEnergy and Environment, OR an advanced degree (or higher degree).Driven,entrepreneurial, demonstrates initiative and creativityStrong problem-solving, research and writing skillsCommitment to eliminating methane emissions from the Oil and Gas valuechainExcels at stakeholder engagementLocationThis position will remain remote through the COVID-19 pandemic. Once theCOVID-19 situation improves, it is expected that these roles be located atone of our office locations(Boulder/Basalt, CO; New York, NY;Oakland, CA; D.C.).
