Job Description:

Candidate will Support a heterogeneous mix of computing hardware and software platforms including servers, workstations and numerous COTS and custom software applications.

Provide document review and resolves technical systems engineering and integration issues. Experience in the manufacturing of COTS equipment and COMM racks is desired. Must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines. Other tasking includes: Supporting the team’s needs by preparing design layouts, detail and assembly drawings, and electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, parts list and other related documentation in conformance to appropriate program and/or military specifications. Participates in engineering discipline process development and deployment on programs. Work with other organizations, coordinating common and efficient cross-factory environments (both hardware and software), tools, process, and methods.

TS/SCI security clearance

is required for this position.

Required Skills:

Current TS/SCI clearance required

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Hardware/Infrastructure Engineering

General knowledge of satellite ground terminal architectures

Ability to analyze engineering change requests to determine changes/modifications needed to the drawing package

General knowledge of common information system (computer and network) hardware interfaces

Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.

Ability to understand and communicate complex problems at different levels of detail

Ability to decompose large, complex problems into components and envision their interactions

Strong analytical and research skills

Security + Certification (or equivalent) must be obtained within 90 days after hiring.

Position may require up to 25% travel

Desired skills:

Experience working in a development or Satellite Operations environment

Experience with Ground Systems Operations

Familiarity with Military and Commercial Drawing Standards

Experience with engineering tools or processes

Experience working in a multi discipline Engineering environment

Experience in custom hardware design, production, and manufacturing

General knowledge of Cable Manufacturing

Required Education (including Major):

Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) from a nationally accredited college and 6 years of related work experience.
