The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Neonatology has an opening for a full-time Senior Professional Research Assistant position for the Neonatal Outcomes Research Alliance (NORA) on the Anschutz Medical Campus.
Nature of Work:
- NORA is a collaborative of providers and clinical researchers in perinatal medicine within the Section of Neonatology. The successful candidate will actively participate in facilitating research and quality improvement projects conducted by NORA investigators. Research responsibilities will include enrolling study participants, administering study surveys in-person, by phone, and electronically, interviewing study participants, and in collaboration with the research coordinator, managing IRB and grant applications and submissions.

Assist the consent and enrollment of study participants – 20%
Administer study surveys in-person, by phone, or electronically – 20%
In collaboration with the research coordinator, manage IRB application development and submission – 35%
Provide administrative assistance to investigators related to study development and completion – 25%
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established at $$52,000 to $89,000.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Master’s Degree in clinical science, public health, epidemiology, health services research or equivalent experience is required.
At least 6-12 months of experience in working with research investigators on clinical, epidemiologic and/or health services studies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Conditions of Employment:
Must successfully pass a 10-panel drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal and sex-offender background check
Experience related to clinical, epidemiologic and/or health services research studies in an academic medical environment.
Experience in providing administrative and programmatic support for clinical, epidemiologic and/or health services research.
Experience in working with Institutional Review Boards in academic environments.
To be successful in this position, candidates will need the following:
An understanding of basic epidemiologic and clinical research principles related to study design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation, and familiarity with the processes to ensure ethical human subjects research.
Must be timely, very organized, pay attention to detail, and work well with multiple investigators.
