Oracle Senior Principal Product Manager in Aurora, Colorado

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

In this Cloud platform engineering group, we are looking for a seasoned leader to lead business operations, planning and execution for the entire Data Integration and Data Governance businesses in the Cloud. You will be the primary leader with tabs on all elements of our business performance. You will lead the culture of measurements; focused business reviews; planning and methodical analysis. Your knack for meticulous and action-focused planning and execution will ensure the our business plans and conversations remain focused. Your ability to work across finance, sales, engineering and marketing organizations seamlessly and effectively will define your success.

In this role, your key responsibilities will be as follows

  1. Leadership in Oracle s global Data Integration and Data Governance strategy and execution with a focus on big data for new cloud services:

1a. Personal involvement and hands-on leadership with Oracle s global Data Integration and Data Governance big data strategy.

1b. Driving day to day execution on big data features within Data Integration and Data Governance cloud services as well as working with the overall team on the product roadmap.

  1. Work as part of an agile development team to define, build and execute on Oracle s global Data Integration and Data Governance business with engineering and executive leadership teams.

  2. Drive product, strategy, field, customer, partners, branding and positioning related decisions that stem from global business execution.

  3. Lead compete positioning and market research for Oracle Data Integration Cloud, ETL and Governance tools.

  4. Lead COGs planning, tracking and target definition for Oracle cloud PaaS in partnership with finance.

  5. Drive usage, growth, churn, UX analytics across global usage of Oracle s Data Integration platforms.

  6. Define campaigns and accelerators based on usage analytics for growth uptake as needed.

  7. Drive analytics and business planning for Oracle s global expansion plans with Cloud.

To succeed in this role, you will need to meet following qualifications

  1. Strong technical acumen; creativity; interpersonal skills; emotional intelligence.

  2. 10 years of engineering and business planning experience.

  3. Deep understanding of big data use cases and the big data technologies that support these use cases.

  4. Deep understanding of big data architectures for data management.

  5. Deep understanding of ETL, Replication, Governance markets and use cases.

  6. Deep understanding of the global cloud businesses and cloud trends.

  7. Deep understanding of big data, data analytics and business intelligence use cases for data management.

  8. Penchant for market and business research that drives actions and decisions.

  9. Broad financial planning, target setting and tracking experience.

  10. Ability drive and derive insights from data and lead broad, cross-group conversations in a matrixed organization.
