The Sales Engineer will also support sales team members asrequired depending on the customer's workflow's complexity. There will bea focus on protein, poultry, eggs, seafood, food service, QSR,e-commerce, C-Store, the center of store, and the home meal deliveryindustries.Candidates should reside somewhere within the Central U.S. and willIn this role, you will be responsible for:Providingprocess improvement expertise to support both the sales team andcustomerProject management on more complex customer accountsComplete market assessments for new growth opportunities in foodservice,QSR, e-commerce, and home meal kits.Achievingbudgeted revenue and profit goals of the Company.Carrying out business development activities by engaging existing andprospective supplier customers, effectively communicating Tosca's valueproposition.Developing and execute customer engagement strategies, schedule face-to-facemeetings, and attend industry events.Partnering with grocery retailers (e.g., management and store levelinteraction) to coordinate with Tosca's retail sales team to drive newbusiness development opportunities.Conducting pack-outs (i.e., comparing current packaging practices vs.RPCs) and create pilot programs to test and prove Tosca's RPC program'sviability. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor theprogress and results of pilot programs.Working with Tosca team members to validate opportunities before presentingsolutions to prospective clients, including a cross-functional team ofoperations, finance, business development, transportation,logistics, and product development.Developing and coordinate project rollout plans for pilot programs and securenew business.QualificationsProcess Improvement degree or certificationMechanical engineering experience would be an asset.New business development would be a definite asset.Experience in the packaging industry and/or food supply chain industry is aplus.Sales experience in the food industry would be beneficial for overallqualifications.Proficient working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word,and Excel) and SalesforceProven ability in identifying customer solutions, negotiating, and closingnew business.
