Graebel’s Project Managers hold a critical position within the IT department and are instrumental in moving the company’s strategic goals forward through the implementation of business solutions across the enterprise. The ideal PM will be able to demonstrate their strong organizational skills and ability to function effectively in a high-intensity, constantly changing environment. You must be comfortable reaching out to, collaborating, and following up with team members of various levels throughout the organization. You must be able to engage warehouse workers or division Presidents in the process. Some of the key business skills that we need include: a results-oriented approach, with the ability to drive execution within the project team; effective communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation; production of professional business correspondence and status reports; research and analysis in response to questions and requests for information; proven techniques to track, monitor, and control all aspects of a project. Previous experience with managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization is very helpful. Your personal characteristics should include: a questioning mind that gives you the ability to delve more deeply into issues; innovative, out-of-the-box thinking; a holistic perspective; persuasive, coalition-building style; and a customer-centric focus.

Principal/Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage project meetings and project team members to successfully complete the project, including front line staff, managers, executives, customers, vendors, and representatives of other impacted departments.

  2. Develop and manage project schedules throughout the duration of the project

  3. Communicate project status regularly to all stakeholders and executive sponsors

  4. Facilitate conversations among project stakeholders to obtain agreement on project scope and success criterion

  5. Manage project budgets, timelines, and other applicable resources

  6. Manage risk throughout the life cycle of the project, including development of mitigation plan

  7. Experience managing software development and implementation is required

  8. Agile Project Management experience is a big plus

  9. Other duties as assigned

  • Previous experience in project management, or equivalent applicable experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven track record for developing methods and means for collecting application requirements

  • Document and demonstrate both functionality and business process to small audiences

  • Experience in implementing change to an organization

  • Quickly learn new tools and applications

  • 4-year degree or equivalent related experience

Anticipated Salary and Benefits Summary: 83-87K. Comprehensive benefits package that includes: 401(k), health insurance (medical, dental, vision), Employee assistance program, paid time off based on years of service, paid holidays per year, life insurance and disability coverage.
