Nature of Work
This position is responsible for coordinating the day to day activities of the Protocol Review and Monitoring System (PRMS) at the Cancer Center. An approved PRMS is a requirement of all NCI-designated cancer centers and assures appropriate scientific merit review of all clinical research protocols.
Research Compliance and Regulatory Administration
This position reports to the PRMS Program Director (Deb McCollister, RN)
Examples of Work Performed
Serves as administrative PRMS representative to internal and external audiences regarding PRMS activities.
Coordinates and facilitates PRMS meetings including:
Prepares PRMS agendas, meeting minutes, and approval letters
Reviews all PRMS applications for completeness and accuracy
Collects and organizes all documentation related to PRMS submissions
Arranges conference room details and conference call information as needed
Updates clinical trial management system(s) with new protocol entry, PRMS submission and approval dates, amendments, new sponsor information, uploading documents, and any other necessary information.
Works with PRMS leadership in the monitoring of low accrual studies as per NCI Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) guidelines.
Assists PRMS leadership in the annual write up and submission for CCSG annual non-competing renewal and the competing renewal and participates in the site visit performed by the National Cancer Institute as part of the 5 year renewal process.
Performs administrative and office support activities for PRMS leadership. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, word processing, creating spreadsheets/ presentations, and filing.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $46.609 - $59,287.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Required: Candidates must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire
Possesses knowledge of Good Clinical Practices Manual, FDA Rules and Regulations in relation to clinical trials, NIH guidelines, ICH guidelines and HIPAA regulations in relation to the conduct of clinical trials
Experience working with NCI, Industry and Investigator-Initiated trials.
Experience working in an academic and/or medical environment

Ability to work independently, but remain consistent with the PRMS requirements established by the NCI and the interpretation of those requirements by the CU Cancer Center’s leadership.

Well-organized and extremely detail oriented. Ability to manage competing deadlines and re-shift focus as necessary
Ability to work with faculty across the campus and external partners.
Is responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including day to day administrative functions.
