Oracle JAVA Principal Presales Consultant in Aurora, Colorado

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

_Roles and Responsibilities for JAVA Principal Presales Consultant_

  • Partner with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to increase adoption of GraalVM

  • Educate customers on the value proposition of GraalVM, and participate in deep architectural discussions

  • Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions, workshops, and bootcamps to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using Java and GraalVM

  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the GraalVM solutions consultant community

  • As a key member of the business development and sales team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services onto the GraalVM platform

  • Author or otherwise contribute to GraalVM and Java customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, videos, and blog entries

  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and product teams and help evolve the Java and GraalVM platform

_Basic Qualifications_

  • 5 years customer-facing solutions consulting experience

  • 5 years design/implementation/devOps experience with enterprise Java-based applications

  • 5 years of experience in software development, particularly in Java, a must

  • Experience with additional popular computer languages/platforms like JavaScript, Python, R and C/C

  • Experience with compiler/interpreter building

  • Knowledge in container/cloud/micro-service architectures

  • Experience presenting to both large and small audiences (Executives, IT Management, and developers)

  • Experience communicating across internal and external organizations

  • Technical degree required, Master s degree preferred.

  • Ability to travel, up to 30% of the time


_Preferred Qualifications_

  • Experience using and adapting to new technologies

  • Worked for tech start up a plus

  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries

  • Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on Java

  • Solution selling experience
