Job DescriptionCCA DenverAn Industrial Mechanical Journeyperson includes ambitious millwrights,pipefitters, toolmakers, and machine repairman. You will work underminimal supervision with a high level of independent judgement and problemsolving. You should be flexible enough to take on and tackle multiple jobassignments in a shift.Preferred Experience Includes:Experience with planned maintenance systems and predictive technologiesExperience with industrial robotics, automation, and conveyance systemsPrimary Responsibilities:Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and companyproceduresMaintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical and hydrauliccomponents (e. g. bearings, seals, details, carriers, etc.) onindustrial machinery such as shafting, motors, generators, aircompressors, engines, pumps, cylinders, gears, couplings,linkages, ball screws, high speed CNC spindles, coolant systems andfilters, anLayout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systemsUse various hand or power tools for measuring, cutting, threading,grooving, bending, soldering, assembling, joining, and installingpipes, valves, and fittingsRead and interpret blueprints for the mechanical operation and assembly ofconveyor systems, material handling systems, robots, and other automationOperate mobile equipment (e.g. forklifts, vertical lifts, cranes)Determine loading requirements to rig equipment and material for liftingSet up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled (CNC)machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to cut,bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishesFabricate punches, tools, steel rule tools and t-sets to exact specificationsPlan sequences of operations for fabricating tools or assemblies usingblueprints, sketches, or modelsDetermine quality of finished products, ensuring defect-free parts, byverifying dimensions, alignment, and clearances for conformance tospecifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks,micrometers, and dial indicatorsAdditional Job DescriptionInterested individuals must meet the following minimum qualifications:U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate inMechanical trade (millwright, pipefitter, toolmaker, machine repair)or six (6) years of documented experience in a Mechanical trade(notarized documentation required)Must be able to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring processrequirements which includecomprehensive assessments, hair drug testing,and a background checkAt least 18 years of ageEligible to work in the United StatesMust be willing to work flexible shift hours and day, afternoon, or nightshifts as well as overtime hours daily, weekend and holidays on those shiftswith little noticeCompensation:The hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $30.11 - $35.42/hrdepending on years of experience and technical abilities.Bonus Potential: Profit Sharing opportunity and quality bonus potentialBenefits:GM offers a variety of health and wellbeing benefit programs.
