We are seeking a Hardware Maintenance Technician with antenna maintenance, integration, and installation experience to work in our Aurora, CO office.

What you will get to do:

  • Support Operations and Maintenance by providing proactive and reactive maintenance on various antenna platforms and associated equipment in the generation of radio frequency (RF) signals and communications systems

  • Maintain, service and repair tracking antennas, antenna drive trains, gear boxes/motors, motor controllers/servo amplifiers, synchros, encoders, RF switches, and feeds

  • Maintain and calibrate different types of coaxial transmission lines and waveguides

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain solid-state amplifiers

  • Build, install and test custom RF switch units and RF over fiber networks

  • Use and operate test equipment to include: spectrum analyzer, network analyzers oscilloscope, bit error rate (BER) tester, power meter, signal generator, pulse generator, digital multi-meter (DMM), fiber optic testers

  • Responsibilities include analyzing equipment problems, isolating causes and taking proper action to resolve problems

  • Perform preventive maintenance and integrate approved equipment modifications into the existing customer baseline

In this role, the selected candidate must have the ability to work within a group or independently where collaboration and attend to detail is critical to mission success. The selected must be able to work closely with contractors and government customers. The ability to work in varying weather conditions, and with hand tools and general construction practices is also needed.

This requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below.

Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled as either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

  • High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years of related experience

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and willing to submit to a Counter Intelligence polygraph

  • U.S. Citizenship required with valid driver's license

  • Ability to obtain a Passport.

  • Work-related experience in technical/electronics field completing system maintenance and electronic equipment troubleshooting

  • Ability to climb ladders and use personnel lifts for heights to approximately 50 feet (using approved fall protection equipment), ascend and descend 60 feet of stairs

  • Ability to install and uninstall (lift) devices weighing 50 pounds

  • Must be able to travel 25% of the time.

  • Must be capable of performing hardware integration with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work related experience with electronic test equipment to include: spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, oscilloscope, bit error rate (BER) tester, power meter, signal generator, pulse generator, multi-meter or Digital Volt Meter (DVM), fiber optic testers

  • Proven history of building and deploying SATCOM Terminals

  • Work related experience on RF and Microwave systems including:

  • Design, build and testing of RF switching units

  • Solid state power amplifiers

  • Experience installing and testing RF over fiber technology

  • RF verification in the frequency domain and time domain

  • Experience working with high speed A/D and D/A converters

  • Experience working with Crypto Units

  • Rack and Stack of general purpose servers, modems, and Cable Management experience

  • Deployment and Shipping experience
