The Aurora Team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineer based out of Aurora, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

Operations and Training engineer to interface with software, hardware, and system design engineers and end users to develop system operations and training products for spacecraft and ground elements:

  • Looking for strong background in software testing, troubleshooting, and the process of SW review board.

  • Create, test, and maintain standard operating procedures

  • Create, maintain, and provide system training on a variety of system topics

  • Other tasks include CONOPS implementation; operation procedures and software script development and validation using the system simulator; training material and simulation scenario development and presentation.

  • Support the coordination and execution of system test tasks and other engineering events.

  • Maintain proficiency in initializing and operating the system simulator.

  • Investigate and diagnose unexpected system signatures.

  • Provide and respond to corrective actions in a timely manner.

  • Quickly adapt to changing processes and identify paths to resolve issues

  • Experience with Red Hat LINUX operating systems and PERL for script writing is beneficial.

  • Ability/desire to lead technical teams and deliveries independentlySome foreign and domestic travel may be required.Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Level 3:

  • Minimum 5 Years of experience with BS, 3 Years with MS, in Engineering or Scientific Field. Relevant Systems Engineering and real-time operations experience.

  • Active Top Secret/SCI

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (tcl/TK, Perl, Python, C++), MATLAB, and/or other analysis and trending tools. Red Hat LINUX operating systems. Knowledge of relevant systems/subsystems

Level 4:

  • Minimum 9 Years of experience with BS, 7 Years with MS, in Engineering or Scientific Field. Relevant Systems Engineering and real-time operations experience.

  • Active Top Secret/SCI

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (tcl/TK, Perl, Python, C++), MATLAB, and/or other analysis and trending tools. Red Hat LINUX operating systems. Knowledge of relevant systems/subsystems

  • AMP program experience
