Sundyne LLC Production Supervisor - Assembly and Test in Arvada, Colorado

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they aredoing!This is a First Shift positionThis position encompasses supervisingAssembly and Test operations that occur on first shift includingpump/compressor testing, pump/compressor unit build, kittingoperations (welding/fabrication/assembly), first flange welding,hydrostatic testing, and paint operations. The position would also supportour shipping operations as needed. The individual will be expected to lead ateam of approximately 16 - 24 hourly employees or non-exempt employees (pumpmechanics, welders/fabricators, technicians and painters).Thesupervisor is expected to foster a positive work environment, maintain anaggressive production schedule and help solve production issues.Sundyne is anindustry leader in pump/compressor manufacturing and technical mechanicalexperience is preferred.The position will support day-to-day productionoperations as well as following/initiating/developing LEAN manufacturingprinciples to minimize manufacturing cycle time and waste.Must be able tocoordinate and manage projects. Individual will be required to become familiarand develop a working knowledge of internal processes, customerspecifications, engineering standards and best practices pertinent toassembly and test operations.The position will assist on the shop floor:In problem solving related to assembly and test operations.Managing/coordinating day-to-day production requirements.Reviewing internal work requirements/documentation to ensure compliance withquality, safety, and customer specifications.Ensuring that employees are working efficiently, safely and following allpolicies and procedures.Organizing and monitoring work flow to support production schedules.PreferredQualificationsAA/AS degree w/5-10+ years experience, BA/BS degreew/2-5+ years experience or MA/MS degree w/0-2+ years experience.Previous supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment isalso preferred.Desired Experience:3+ years' experience in a supervisoryrole in manufacturing assembly, test and welding of projects ordered bycustomers Experience with technical project management desired. 2+ years'experience in rotating equipment and centrifugal pumps.DesiredSkillsSupervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, Process Improvement,Tracking Budget Expenses, Production Planning, Mechanical Aptitude,Strategic Planning, Dealing with Complexity, Knowledge of Safety,Quality, Focused on ResultsSuccessful candidate:Will have strongcommunication skills and confidence in representing Sundyne in dailycommunications with team mates, employees, and customers. Will have astrong general understanding of engineering sciences and be comfortableengaging in technical communication and decision making. Will be knowledgeablein mechanically assemblies of highly engineered pumps and compressors. Able todirect a workforce of highly complex kit packaging consisting of assembly,welding, fitting and testing. Will be able to read and interpret prints,standard work and Process notes to make decisions to keep the job movingforward. Will be dedicated to meet short deadlines, and manage multiplecustomer orders simultaneously with a high degree of ownership for timely andaccurate completion. Will have strong attention to detail, and a high degreeof focus on customer satisfaction.
