Kelly Services is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Drafter for a growing customer in Arvada CO.
As Mechanical Designer/Drafter, you will oversee custom equipment engineering and design. Responsibilities include supporting management and distribution of day-to-day order engineering workload. You will implement and manage the approach to the following: Drawing revision control, BOM control, drawing standards, and engineering systems. You will complete complex drawings to suit engineering changes and initiate engineering changes. This includes the following: Completing the creation of complex design layouts and detail drawings of complex products, performing a compilation of materials and specification sheets, performing dimensions/specification determination necessary on complex drawings for effective manufacturing, performing the designs of cost-effective complex products with adherence to applicable industry and customer standards/specifications, and complete complex investigations related to product design and maintenance.
Prepare product/project drawings and documentation for Submittals
Prepare and refine detailed fabrication drawings and BOMs for manufacture
Preparation of preliminary design layouts in support of Sales
Provide design support for new product development
Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D Inventor modeling
5 years of mechanical design/drafting experience
Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certification may be required.
